Step behind the scenes of a real sled dog kennel and experience the true life of a musher. This is not a typical sled dog tour, but a rare, hands-on backstage pass where you actively take part in the daily work of a small racing kennel and its Siberian huskies.

Your experience starts with a musher meeting where we plan the day together: training, feeding routines and kennel tasks. Based on the plan, you’ll help prepare for training by harnessing the dogs, lining up the team, checking equipment and getting everything ready — just like a real co-musher.

Once the team is ready, we head out for a 1–2 hour sled dog ride. After the run, you’ll help care for the dogs and equipment, learning what happens behind the scenes after the ride — something most visitors never get to see.

We then warm up in a traditional Finnish sauna and continue with normal kennel work. Later, we gather in our traditional kota (tipi), used for centuries by the Sámi people, to enjoy a simple barbeque with sausages, warm rice pies and hot drinks. While relaxing, we share stories about local culture, northern life and what it truly means to work with sled dogs. If you wish, you can also help feed the dogs.

Throughout the experience, you’ll spend plenty of unhurried time with the huskies and have great opportunities for photos and genuine connection.

This is a complete musher experience — personal, authentic and interactive. You don’t just watch, you participate in every step. The program lasts around 4 hours, and can extend up to 5 hours for those who want to learn more.

Then, enjoy a thrilling ride with the dogs, on a sled or cart, depending on the weather. The dogs take you out to the snowy fields and onto the small lake during our 3km loop. Ride happens mostly in pairs, sitting on the sled, driven by an experienced musher.
